RSS traffic

RSS traffic has been one of great discussion.
What is RSS?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an XML-based format for distributing and aggregating Web content (such as news headlines).
Using RSS, Web content providers can easily create and disseminate feeds of data that include, for example, news links, headlines, and summaries.

Most people who run blog sites have since coded or added the option for an RSS feed to their site. The problem is most feedreaders will check the site very often, and this has seemed to cause issues for many people because of bandwidth problems.

I know that the RSS feed(s) to this site is/are the most requested file(s). Although it has increased traffic a lot it isn’t by any means over the top. I still think that RSS is a great way to get viewers back to your site.

What are your thoughts on RSS in general?
