CDs are good, ripping sucks.

These last few weeks have been really good, I’ve got heaps of new music. Very funky. The last time I got a new CD would have been, well I don’t remember when; years.

So anyway I have got these in the last two weeks (birthday presents etc)

Fingerprints - The best of powerfinger 1994 - 2000
American Idiot - Green Day
The best of - Groove Armada
The 2005 Annual, Ministry of Sound
No Doubt - The singles 1992 - 2003
and a couple of CD singles.

It is very cool. The only problem is that I need to rip them so I can put them on my ipod and my cd drives are all pretty dead. I can get 4x out of my burner, but that is it. Dodgy hardware.

But yes. I was going to write something about schoolies but I’ve been pretty busy these last few days, out finding jobs etc so don’t expect it, sorry :p……

That photostack program is very dodgy, the old version seems much better. This thing is so slow it isn’t funny. The development team are also not developing for windows systems so it probably won’t work in the future, I couldn’t get it working on my windows box. I’m not too sure if they really know what they’re doing, i.e http://photostack.org/forum/viewtopic.php?id=19 but what ever.
I might just stick to the current one for the time being. It is working okay on my freebsd box (running this site) but it is still slow. I had to recompile PHP too because they needed some other modules which don’t come installed by standard, but that was pretty easy.

Hey Sphinx why don’t you just let me use your one? ;) I’d add mod_rewrite to it so you don’t need to.

Anyway, there has been no progress on my new blog program thingy because I’ve been out and about most days. Next week is now looking very full too, so yeah. It will get done at some stage.

During my free time I’ve been playing HL2 (and yes not coding), I am quite enjoying it although the hovercraft section is starting to bore me a little. I’ve got a pretty short attention span. :)

Anyway, welcome to December. I should post some stats.

Below are the comments for this news item

I've been shopping for CD's too

Songs For Jane - Maroon 5
How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb - U2
Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters
Fingerprints - The Best Of Powderfinger 1994-2000

There's a few more I want to get, but I'm waiting to get paid.
