I've been nagging Ben a bit for a rewrite enabled version (aka sexy links) of cat-scan. Which he has delivered with Cat-scan version 0.8.5.

The upgrade installed straight over the top and re-generated any new thumbnails if needed (for case sensitivity on *nix systems). The great thing is that the old links still work. So it is a win win. New rewrited links, but also support for the old ones.

Ben has even added a “speed_freak” option for people like me who don’t need all the features. Great! Nice and fast.

I’ve just written in support for sending trackbacks so hopefully it works. On both ends too, because I wrote the script that runs his blog. Hehe *fingers crossed*
