rdesktop for N2200 with Linux-2200

To install download this file to your thin client in the root of the drive /
http://www.bluetrait.com/files/N2200/rdesktop-linux2200.tar.gz
then from a command line run:
You should now be able to start rdesktop by running it from /usr/bin/rdesktop.
The command I use to start it is:
Now Tom said that he had problems getting it into full screen, I did not have this problem. Let me know if it is a problem for you.
Also the key mapping for the backspace key still does not work. When I get a chance I will look into it.
If you'd like this to run on startup modify .xinitrc in root and add the rdesktop start command.
I did test it on a 17" monitor.
I didn't touch .xinitrc I just ran that command from xterm.
The backspace thing isn't an issue with terminal service but the XFree86 config I think.

I fixed my Full Screen problem :)
As for the Backspace, I can CONFIRM that it is present in Fluxbox AND RDP(terminal service)
When I EXIT out of Fluxbox, just to the Linux Terminal Screen, then the Backspace works OK
So I agree with you that its something to do with XFree86 OR Fluxbox .. which I assume runs on top of XFree86

One Question, how can i put a Shortcut to the Menue of Fluxbox to start RDesktop (witch runs in Fullscreen here)?
Is there a Config-File i didnt find?

Not too sure. Need to have a look. But there maybe something in /etc/
fluxbox menu -> /.fluxbox/menu
shrunken X -> modelines in /etc/XF86Config
keymap -> replace xkb definiton files with the official 3.3.6 files (http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/XFree86/3.3.6/binaries/Linux-ix86-glibc20/Xlib.tgz)

Nice project.
I have problem with Italian Keyboard in rdesktop.
Always start with EN keybord, and if i specify "-k it-it" too.
All special character (like € and @) are unuseable.
Did anyone fix this problem?

I'm glad I found the experts for this box. I recently acquired one of these an I am currently trying to perform the described operations. But when I try to extract the files from the linux-2200-0.0.1.tar.gz I get errors and the operation halts. Im trying to do this on a knoppix based system. Could this be the problem?
PCIGURU are you logged in as root? You'll need to be.
To fix the backspace
download http://mirror.aarnet.edu.au/pub/XFree86/3.3.6/binaries/Linux-ix86-glibc20/Xlib.tgz to a temp location on your debian computer
extract it and copy everything from the xkb directory into /mnt/someplace/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb/
On mine i also sym linked /hda/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb to /var/lib/xkb I'm not sure which is required but I'm happy.

I use this terminal only with rdesktop, i solve the backspace problem but i can´t write some especial caracters like ñ

rdesktop works out of the box (so to speak) for me.
I set my keyboard locale to us, i'm pretty sure there's only a few versions ( i haven't really checked)
the backspace key doesnt work in vi, but that's it to my knowledge
Has anyone created or does anyone know of a more fully featured distro for the netvista? possibly based on a 2.6 kernel? I am going to attempt to get 2.6 running sometime in the next few weeks.

For the Full Screen problem, did you Delete :
xterm &
dillo &
exec /usr/bin/fluxbox
from .xinitrc & just have rdesktop -u .... in there ??
IF so, did you also Delete the line “loadkmap /key.map” from /etc/inti.d/rcS
AND Remove the directory & all its Sub-Directories /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/xkb ??
If so, then your install is exactly like mine
On bootup, all the Terminal Bootup text appears full screen, its only when Linux fully runs does it seem to autosize down to a 15" screen
Are you using a 17" or greater monitor ??
Did you change anything in relation to /etc/XF86Config ??
As for the Backspace problem, I am not yet sure if its incorrectly pulling the keymap off Windows Server 2003 OR its the crappy German keymap thats causing the problem ... even though I deleted all references to it(as above) ??
