The macbook is great. The keyboard is fantastic. It plays HD video without any issues (the dual core cpu helps).
It has a built in isight and front row seems better than media centre.

The down side is applications that are not native (i.e office) take a little while to load (although they run fine); also with the macbook the integrated video card won't do the latest 3d games.

It currently only has 512mb ram, so everything should be quicker when I upgrade the ram.

Oh and the screen is much brighter than the ibook, I like that.

Battery life seems to be around 4 hours with standard use (with wireless and bluetooth).

I've also installed windows XP on it so I can use programs like Visio etc.

Nice, looks like a good lappy. Me, I went the opposite way - I sold my iBook and have ordered a beast (not a laptop at all). Its a "notebook" 1 half of 10 minutes of battery life, but good specs all 'round. I'll bring it over if we ever lan again. It should arrive some time next week.
