Webserver

Posted by Michael Dale on Wed, 14 Mar 2007 10:33 AM

The web server has been doing some odd things.

Yesterday I needed to restart apache as it had used up all of the swap space (2.5gb), which was causing mysql to fail.

This morning I checked the load and found this

Web Server CPU Load

I should probably look into it :)

DoS or nothing much in the logs?

I noticed it went out yesterday evening at some point but that seemed to be a connectivity issue more than something load related (mail went out too). Was back in about 15 mins I think.

Na not much in the logs. iinet was playing up a bit yesterday too. Although I think that was closer to midnight.

router and webserver info can be found in cacti.

Mmm. I think I overwrote my CSS file when upgrading Bluetrait. Better go find a backup....

Cacti is SNMP stats butt-kicking. How long's that been around for? V. nice.

As in installed here? Probably a few months now, just after we moved in.

I'm in the process of setting up a cacti server for work to monitor our firewalls and switches.
